Krämer Motorcylces as a Factory team in internationalen Roadracing

KMC IL Release 03

Krämer Motorcycles will compete as an official team with two riders in international roadracing events in 2023 - at the 300 Curves race in Horice (CZ), as well as at the historical ManxGP on the Isle of Man. Supporter of the official Factory race team is KMC distributor Motolix - as pilots David Datzer from Vilsbiburg (DE) and the Swiss Ivo Ladde are on the grid, completed by Shaun Anderson for the race at ManxGP. Hopes for podium finishes or even victories are high.

With the single-cylinder race bike EVO2-690R, Krämer Motorcycles has been synonymous with top mono performance in motorcycle racing for about 10 years. Together with Krämer's distribution partner Motolix, an official Factory Racing Team has now in 2023 been launched for the first time. The team will compete with two riders in the Supermono class of the 300 Curves of Horice race, which takes place in May of this year. This joint appearance will also be carried forward into the Ultra-Lightweight class of the history-making ManxGP on the Isle of Man at the end of August.

Official appearance after many years of sponsoring
Krämer Motorcycles has already been present on the international road racing scene for several years as a partner of racers such as the Englishman Shaun Anderson or the Swiss Ivo Ladde. So far, however, the manufacturer has always remained in the background - this is to change from the 2023 season, according to Markus Krämer, General Manager of Krämer Motorcycles: "With the contact to David Datzer, which was established through our partner Motolix, the picture for an official roadracing appearance has been completed. With Motolix as a partner and David as well as Ivo as experienced road racers we want to show as a factory racing team in Horice and also at the ManxGP that we are capable of taking victory with the EVO2-690R".

The ManxGP as Krämer's highlight of the year
According to Markus Krämer, the newly founded Krämer Motolix Racing Team sees the race in Horice as a "main rehearsal for their joint appearance at the ManxGP". The latter will take place in August on the historic motorcycle island "Isle of Man". "At this annual highlight, we want to be sure that our team is in the best possible position - with the developments our EVO2-690R has undergone in recent years, we know that we are technically capable of being up front. Now we also want to bring the team, the surrounding and the riders to the same level in order to be able to deliver our best overall performance at this year's ManxGP," commented Krämer.

Hopes for top finishes already in Horice
Even though the race in Horice is regarded as the "main rehearsal" for the racing team, hopes for top results are high here already. Both Datzer and Ladde have already shown in recent years that the 300 curve race suits them very well. David Datzer, who lives just 20 kilometers from the Krämer headquarters, currently holds the lap record in the Superbike class at Horice. The 31-year-old is convinced that he can also be at the front of the field in the so-called Supermono class: "The Horice circuit suits me very well, as the Superbike lap record shows - and the Krämer EVO2-690R, on which I felt extremely comfortable from the very first second during the test in Rijeka, is just as perfect for me to ride as the circuit in Horice is. So the chances are good that we will be among the front runners." Swiss rider Ivo Ladde has also shown strong performances in Horice in the past - in 2022 he finishes third in the Supermono class and takes the second fastest lap time ever set on a single-cylinder motorcycle on the Czech circuit.

The progress and achievements of the new Krämer Motolix racing team will be continuously reported on the website, on the social media channels and in the PR newsletter.
